1. What ScanAutos.com is

ScanAutos.com provides private sellers (“subscribers”) with a time-limited preview page, QR code, printable signs, links to the subscriber’s own listings on approved third-party car sites, and contact buttons that open the buyer’s own phone, messaging or email app, for a vehicle they own or are authorised to sell. ScanAutos.com does not carry, relay or record calls, texts or messages between buyers and sellers, and listings on third-party sites are governed by those sites’ own terms. ScanAutos.com is not a dealer, broker, agent, auctioneer or lender, is not the seller of any vehicle and is not a party to any sale. See our Disclaimer.

2. Seller eligibility & declarations

• You must be 18+ and selling a vehicle you personally own or are legally authorised to sell.
• You must be a private party, not a licensed or unlicensed dealer. Accounts are limited to 3 active and 5 total listings per 12 months.
• You must confirm a mobile number (by text code) and an email address you control, and keep them current.
• All information and photos must be accurate, current and your own. You are solely responsible for your listing and for complying with all laws that apply to your sale (title transfer, disclosures, odometer statements, taxes).

3. Prohibited conduct

No fake, duplicate or bait listings; no listing a vehicle you don’t own; no requests for deposits, gift cards, wires or crypto; no harassment, spam or misuse of buyer contact details; no attempt to bypass fraud checks.

4. Fraud checks, complaints & removal

We may review, hide, remove or refuse any listing, and suspend or close any account, at our discretion — including immediately on receiving a credible complaint (for example, that the vehicle is not owned by the lister). Sellers may appeal from the app. Fees for listings removed for violating these terms are not refunded.

5. Plans, fees & renewals

Plans are one-time purchases for one vehicle (no subscription or auto-renewal). Current prices are listed at scanautos.com/#pricing. Renewing adds time to the same listing and QR code. Fees are non-refundable once a listing is live, except where required by law. Payment processing is provided by Stripe.

6. Data retention

Listing photos and details are permanently deleted shortly after a listing expires, or immediately if you delete the listing or your account.

7. Buyers

Buyers use ScanAutos to contact sellers only. ScanAutos does not guarantee any vehicle, seller or listing. Inspect the vehicle, verify the title and VIN, and never pay in advance.

8. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScanAutos.com disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any vehicle, listing, communication or transaction between users, or for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 12 months.

9. Indemnity

Sellers agree to indemnify ScanAutos.com against claims arising from their listings, vehicles or transactions.
